It is better to Stand and Fall than to Sit and only Dream!

It is better to stand and fall than to sit and only dream!
Many people would have accomplished much more in life if they had only stood up! This simple process of moving the lower half of our body gives us a change of perspective. A change of perspective gives us new ways of seeing and finding solutions to our challenges. If you never stand up and risk failure you will never get a different view of what is facing you.

Similarly a person who chooses to lie down in the face of danger will always be smaller than the challenge facing them. The simple solution is to change your belief about failure and work from your beliefs of success and not the feedback of others. Those who have never failed and anything has never tried anything. There is truth in the saying “No risk no gains.”

The problem with only dreaming is it can cause you to dream your entire life away and get absolutely nothing done. Dreaming can be a place of comfort and safety that causes procrastination. This line of think and behaving is one of “You can’t fail if you don’t try.” The reality is that you have already failed. Only dreaming is like filling a plate of your favorite food and never eating. You will starve to death! Failure is something you may do not who you are. Failures should be viewed as street signs pointing us in the direction of our goals and desires.

Therefore as you travel the road of life going from point to point expect to see street signs. Ignoring the signs will cause you to get lost and possibly never reaching your destination.

Never confuse AVAILABILITY with ABILITY

Never confuse AVAILABILITY with ABILITY. Being available to do something does not mean they are able to do it! Choose your help wisely or suffer the headaches.

It is common practice to place or hire someone into a position because you are in urgent need of help. Choosing the wrong person can cause you to spend more time, money, and energy than if you would have waited and chosen the right person.

You see it in managers who have no idea what managing means and in customer service reps that provide absolutely no customer services.

Choosing the wrong person for a task is the same as choosing a hammer to tighten a loose screw.

Do you already have the wrong person, and they have a desire to be the right person? Be prepared to spend time and money on proper training and follow up work until they are performing at the level you desire. If you are not getting MEASURABLE results in a REASONABLE amount of time, then it may be time to replace them. Remember everyone is not cutout to do what you need done.

Don’t Get Lost Chasing Butterflies!

Don’t Get Lost Chasing Butterflies. This statement is a warning against getting distracted by what looks good or might make you feel good at the moment and lose track of what is important and necessary.

It is natural for us to wanting to avoid what we perceive as painful and go after that what we see as pleasurable. This pain could be physical or emotional. Just as the pain; the pleasure could be physical or emotional as well.

The things that keep most people from reaching their true destiny are not the obstacles in the way, but the distractions along the way. It’s not that they don’t have the ability or even the desire to reach their goals. In most cases it’s that they simply run out of time. We all have a finite number of heart beats and breaths that we are going to take. Doesn’t it make sense to use them to reach our destiny? Before reaching your destiny, the butterflies are like detour signs on the road of life. Once we have reached our destiny we then can chase the butterflies of life.
